… present your bodies as a sacrifice – alive, holy, and pleasing to God 2 Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.

Romans 12:1-2 (NET

Spring has arrived, and the signs of renewal are all around us in nature. It is a time to heed the call for rejuvenation, not just in the natural world, but also in our spiritual lives. The Lord invites us to surrender our perspectives on our difficulties and trials and trust Him. If we align ourselves with His timing, we can experience true refreshment and renewal. Let us embrace this season and allow God to bring new life and vitality to our souls.

Don’t let yourself get distracted by all the activities that are before you. It’s important to have fun, but remember that He alone is your renewal source of energy. Have you lost your passion for the Lord? Do you feel like you’re just going through the motions, hoping for change but not seeing any? The culture we live in offers many avenues of refreshment, but entertainment is a poor source of putting a spring back into your step. It may seem rich at the moment, but it ultimately leaves us with very little to hold onto in the treadmill of life.

Now is a good time to surrender your life to the Lord. Reject the idea of modeling your life based on what Hollywood, social media, and godless religion present to you. Instead, look up to God and ask Him to shape you according to His standards and how He perceives you and others. He desires to restore the wounded and barren areas of your life. Take some time today to reflect on God’s promise of renewal. Allow Jesus access to your heart and He will stir you to receive everything that your heavenly Father wants to give you.

Take a break from your busy routine and step outside today. Look up at the beautiful blue sky, listen to the sweet birdsong, and take a moment to touch the tender green leaves of the trees that you often ignore. Nature is calling you now, but in truth, it is God calling you to embrace a new beginning. He is longing for you to come into His presence, align yourself with His Word so you can receive the life of abundance that Christ died to give you.
