Look to Your Soul

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul (3 John: 2).

Take an honest look at your life and ask yourself, “what do I complain about and wish for in my life?” Locate the place of endless hurt in your life, and you will discover a place where repentance must take place. The blessing of the Lord makes you rich, and He adds no sorrow to it. Where there is sorrow, there is sin. Put away the pointing of the finger and look inside. Holy Spirit convicts you of sin so He can draw out the poison of your pain. Your heart must first break for the hurt you have caused before God can bind up the wounds that hurt you.

God’s desire is for you to be in good health, even as it goes with your soul. He wants to bless you in all things. The Lord only allows you to fall and to reap the consequences of your sin to show you a better way. Sin grows in the hard places of the heart where doubt of God’s goodness and love exists. Trust the Lord with your life’s choices so he can direct your paths. The first step in giving your life to Christ is relinquishing your will for His.

Are you suffering examine the condition of your soul. Do not forget God’s benefits. He forgives us of all our iniquities and heals us of all our dis-eases! Ask the Lord to make the words of your mouth and the meditations of your heart acceptable to Him. He is your Strength and Redeemer. Change comes so healing can follow.
