Do You Need Comfort?

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Eventhe Spirit of truth (John 14:16-17).

You cannot compare the Holy Spirit’s comfort and consolation to anything else in this world. The Holy Spirit is in you if you are a believer in Jesus Christ. He is as close to you as your breath. He will not leave or forsake you. Though your mother and father may leave you by abandonment or certainly by death Holy Spirit will remain with you. Significant people in your life will come and leave, but the Holy Spirit will be with you forever.

The Holy Spirit assures you that you belong to Jesus. He seals you for eternal salvation. As you come to Him and ask for His help, he will comfort you by telling you the truth of how things are. He knows your inner thoughts, pain, and troubles, and makes intercessions for you deep within your spirit. He helps you navigate this life with all of its surprises.

Jesus said the world could not receive, understand, or know Holy Spirit but that His followers could know Him because He lives in each one. You can know the Holy Spirit and be comfortable with the Comforter. Jesus lives now in heaven. Holy Spirit is on earth with you. He is vital to your victory and your touchstone to know what is right in a world that spins on a lie. Holy Spirit will show you that you are a son and God is your “papa.” How great is that? If God is for you then who can be against you!
