Wake Up to Love

I woke up at 4 am this morning in Ghana to a woman with an ethereal voice singing. For a minute I had to adjust myself and ask “Lord is that an angel?” She may not have been an angel, but she was walking the long dusty road outside with a melodic message sent from heaven. Her voice awakened me.

You may carry a message or declare one, but in truth, you are the message. What are your life and demeanor saying about you? But more importantly, how do they convey to others the love and power of Jesus? Believers authenticate the work of Jesus in how they live their lives on a daily basis. Everything we do is a message to other people; whether it’s good or bad.

Grace has a way of getting our attention and love arouses the soul. People come to know Christ, not through fear but his love revealed. You are the Bible someone is reading. The love of Christ in you can be the wake-up call that someone in your life needs. Quiet gestures and small kindnesses resonate loudly in the hearts of people who are seeking to find God in this life.
