Good Grief

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted (Matthew 5:4 ESV)."

Do you know the God of hope? Our God does not despair. Jesus endured the pain and the shame of the cross by looking ahead for the joy that was coming. People can get through just about anything if they do not lose their hope. Hope for what? Hope for good things to come.

True repentance involves godly sorrow a time of mourning the loss of something. What you will lose depends on the lie of which you agree. The loss of any addiction is painful. An idolatrous pattern of thought, a nasty attitude you identify with, the idols of your heart all must die so you can live.

The tears you spill in repentance water the garden of your future. God has a hundred-fold plan for your life so don’t settle for a thirty-fold existence. Your season to begin the internal work to align your faith more closely with God’s hope and dreams for you is now.
