When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation (Proverbs 10:25 NLT).
The eye of the storm is a place of calm. Amidst the raging winds of destruction, this is where you can see the glimmering blue sky. A portal of peace is at the center of the whirlwind. Does such a place really exist? Yes, it does, and in fact, without it, the hurricane does not emerge.
In the middle of your mess is your message. Every follower of Christ falls into trials to produce endurance that leads to inner peace and joy. In the midst of your earthquake, God hides within you a place called unshakeable trust. The trial you encounter will develop your faith rather than destroy it.
Each time a season of suffering comes, view it through God’s perspective. Look up and then rise in the spirit above the storm where you become an observer rather than a participant. At the heart of your storm is the love of God. You are the apple of His eye, and He desires to make your heart like His.
