“Decide to Follow Jesus”

"We have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God."

Could you be under the influence of the devil even though you do not believe in the supernatural? Perhaps you believe that only a person who worships Satan could be under his influence. But in fact, the Bible teaches that the whole world is under his control. (1 John 5:19) Only children of God, those who have received the Spirit of God, are out from under the devil’s domain. If God were to open your eyes, you could see clearly how the spirit world operates and that apart from Christ, you are subject to the devil’s bondage for a lifetime. Spirits from a different world influence every human being. The Holy Spirit resides in all those who belong to Christ. When you give God the ownership of your soul, your life will change because his Spirit will direct your steps and transform you into the likeness of Christ. You will come to know God and to love His Son, Jesus Christ, in a way that you could never have thought possible. Your life will become a true and faithful witness of Christ. Whose control are you under- the control of the evil one, or God's Holy Spirit? Sin no longer controls a disciple of Christ because the Spirit of God lives in him. Your belief system may discount the power of the devil’s influence over your thoughts and actions, but it is to your detriment to take refuge in your delusions. Jesus Christ is your only refuge. He is the hope of this world. Whatever your opinions may be, the god of this world is evil. He is a liar and an accuser. His strategies vary, but the results are the same - to blind your mind to the reality that the spirit world influences and controls every single person. If you think that somehow you can remain neutral and serve neither Christ nor the devil, you are acting under a false assumption. Indecision and procrastination lead to lost opportunities and ruin. Decide to follow Jesus.
