God’s Time Appointed for You

Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son (Gen. 18:14).

When you wait on God for an answer to prayer or a breakthrough in your life, do not lose heart. Be consistent in praise and thanksgiving and do not forget that a day is like thousand years to God and a thousand years as a day. He is faithful and will fulfill His promises at the appointed time.

God’s appointed times are perfect. Whatever you are waiting for encompasses more that just you. Nothing can happen to you that will not in some way affect others connected to you. The Lord will orchestrate many things to come into alignment before your breakthrough comes. Have faith in God that though nothing seems to be happening He is preparing all things to come to a head. When it is right, it will be right for all those involved. It will not be premature or too late for anyone for the Lord makes all things beautiful in His time. The Lord wholly moves while we move piece by piece.

As you wait, understand that your actions may adversely affect the outcome of your life if you begin to make things happen for you. Listen to God and obey Him, knock on doors yes, but do not push them open. The purposes of God for your life will not fail but your plans executed out of impatience or doubt can exhaust you and bring you pain.

While you wait, confidently expect God is moving on your behalf as well as others. Do not become lazy thinking until you have the answer to your prayer, everything else is unimportant. Every day matters so make it count. Make the most of the opportunities God is giving you to be a cog in the wheel of making the dreams of others come true. The majesty of God is getting a glimpse of what you thought was so insignificant; turn out to be the very thing that brought everything together.
