The Spirit of Error

By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 7 Beloved let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

(1 John 4:6-7 ESV)

God commands us to love him with all our minds. Our minds determine how we think and how we’ll influence others to think. If what we think does not line up with the character and commandments of God we show our hostility toward God rather than our love. We do not love God even though we claim to when our actions distort His truth. If we love Him, we will keep His commandments. If we love God we will not be against anyone who is serving Him and walking in His anointing.

Man’s thought life is the doorway by which the devil gains a stronghold in this world. The anti-Christ spirit influenced Judas with a thought, an imagination that appeared his own but was in actuality the devil’s idea. Every action first begins with a thought. He betrayed Christ even though he walked with him and appeared to be one of his disciples. The anti-Christ spirit moved against Christ to kill Him and it is active today in people who claim to know Him. This spirit of error is working in anyone who holds hostile thoughts toward a true follower of Christ, one anointed by God.

Guard your thoughts for they impact everything in your life. Never allow your mind to be passive and go along just to get along. Understand that you are susceptible to how people around you are thinking. Thoughts in a real way are contagious. An unstable person can affect your own thoughts and actions without saying a word. The spiritual world operates through your mind and the minds of people of whom you affiliate. God wants you to love Him and those who belong to Him with a clean mind, not for His benefit but yours!
