Shed Anger Before It Shreds You
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:19-20ESV). A snake sheds its outer layer of skin because it is growing. The new skin is more flexible and vibrant. Shedding the snakeskin of anger may put you between a rock and a hard place. Patched Up or Made New?
Who would patch old clothing with new cloth? For the new patch would shrink and rip away from the old cloth, leaving an even bigger tear than before (Mark 2:21 NLT). Jesus is your true source. Where there is a way there is a will. Jesus is the way back to God but our will must surrender to find it. Scripture says, “Whosoever will let him come (Rev. 22:17)” happily the invitation for a restored life is for everyone but it can only happen if our will aligns with Jesus’.
